Interim Chief Executive Announcement

A message from Andrew Macintosh, Chairman, AustCham Board of Directors:

As you may know , AustCham’s current Chief Executive (CE) Drew Waters  will be leaving the position, and return to Australia with his family on 28th July 2017. Drew has played a vital role in the Chamber’s development in the past three years and we appreciate all that he has achieved during his time as CE.

The Board of Directors of AustCham are pleased to announce the appointment of Jacinta Reddan to the position of Interim Chief Executive, effective 25th July 2017. Jacinta will step down from her role as board director to take up the role while the recruitment process is underway.

A former Australian journalist and state government media advisor, Jacinta has spent most of her career based in Hong Kong in a variety of PR and marketing roles across a range of industries.  She has specialised in financial services for close to a decade.

Jacinta promoted Australia to Asia as one of the world's favourite holiday destinations in the lead-up to the Sydney Olympics in her role with the Australian Tourist Commission.

She has been involved in Austcham since the mid-nineties in her tourism role, has served on the Media and Marketing Committee, and is currently vice-chair of the Finance, Legal and Tax committee.  She was appointed to the board in May.

Jacinta is very much looking forward to continuing to work with our members, committees/networks, team of staff and board of directors.

The board of AustCham is in the process of a formal search for a permanent Chief Executive which is being conducted by an independent recruitment agency.  Further news will be announced later.
