AustCham’s First Television Campaign

HONG KONG, 9 NOVEMBER 2017 – One of Hong Kong’s leading business organisations, The Australian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and Macau (AustCham), has launched its first television advertising campaign as part of its 30-year anniversary celebrations.

The 30-second commercial showcases the chamber’s growing and diverse membership base and will air on ABC’s Australia Plus TV starting this week.

During its 30 year history, AustCham has been supporting businesses in Hong Kong from small enterprises to large corporates, providing its members with opportunity, advocacy, connection and facilitation of bilateral trade and investment between Australia and Hong Kong. The Chamber celebrates this remarkable achievement today by showcasing some the diversity of its members while also supporting a membership-drive campaign.

“The ad champions our members who are the lifeblood of our chamber,” said AustCham Chief Executive Jacinta Reddan.

“In these 30 seconds, we see members from some of Australia’s corporations through to SMEs.  We see members of all ages, both men and women from a variety of different nationalities”The diversity of our chamber, reflects the diversity of Australia. AustCham is open to all – certainly not limited to Australians or Australian businesses – but to anyone who has an interest in Australia, who is curious about major issues affecting trade, investment and business in Hong Kong, and who wants to make a contribution to Hong Kong and Australia. We also welcome any businesses looking to invest into Australia or to use Hong Kong as a springboard to China, as well as partners who are looking to reach our 1400 influential members.”

The campaign premiered during Melbourne Cup (Tuesday, 6 November), the highest rating week of the year on Australia Plus.

It will run through to the end of January next year and is the result of a partnership between Platinum Partner, ABC and AustCham, and was produced by Lime Content Studios headed by Bill McQueen.
