The judges were impressed by the quality of the applicants this year. Paul Lai, Westpac’s Regional Head and Head of Corporate & Institutional Banking Greater China said the calibre of entries continues to climb year on year.

"Given its size and incredible pace of transformation, it’s fantastic to recognise these Australian businesses that have worked hard to get their China strategy right, reaping the rewards and propelling their business forward."

Chair of the judging panel, Sam Guthrie, Deputy Consul-General (Commercial) & Senior Trade Commissioner - Hong Kong & Macau also remarked, “This year we have had a fabulous pool of applicants, all highly competitive with compelling  stories of success to share. Whilst this has made the work of the judges pretty tricky it speaks volumes about the quality of businesses carrying forward the trade and investment relationship between Greater China and Australia. To make it into the short list in a year like this is a significant achievement. Congratulations to all!”
