Australian Residential Property: What’s on the Horizon?

Australian Residential Property: What’s on the Horizon?

The Australian residential property market is never far from the minds of members.  As this extraordinary year of disruption (auction/inspection shutdowns, bank mortgage deferrals, Job Keeper payments) draws to a close, what does the next 12 months look like and what should you be thinking about?

Our three expert members will provide their on-the-ground insight as they speak to us from Australia.  We are pleased to bring to you two real estate agents and a buyer’s advocate who will assess the market thus far this year and share perspectives on what they see for the year ahead.

SPEAKER(S)

Jock Langley
Director - Auctioneer

Jock’s rise to the upper echelons of Melbourne’s premium real estate market was always just a matter of time. Born and bred in rural NSW, he has gone about building a career based on the old fashioned values of playing with a straight bat, and doing what he says he’ll do. And, as a result, with over 25 years of experience, he today resides over one of the most high quality, long lasting client networks in the business.

Educated at Geelong Grammar School, Jock has a particularly strong international and ex-pat network, and he regularly commits to travelling overseas to meet with clients and provide meaningful dialogue regarding their requirements and the properties he represents.

Jock’s background has ensured he has a healthy interest in rural properties as well. He is widely sought after for his advice and representation by owners of everything from boutique holdings in Melbourne’s premium lifestyle markets to immense pastoral holdings.

Jock is one of the founding directors of Abercromby’s and, along with his partners, maintains a strong commitment to keeping the company smaller in size, but bigger in values.

Adam Ross
