Briefing with Governor of South Australia, Her Excellency, The Honourable Frances Adamson AC
AustCham Hong Kong invites members and friends to join us as we welcome the 36th Governor of South Australia, Her Excellency the Honourable Frances Adamson AC to Hong Kong.
This event provides an exceptional opportunity to meet and engage with the Governor, hear about her role representing South Australia, including opportunities for business, investment and education, as well as hear her insights from her public service career.
The event includes breakfast, tea/coffee and networking with the AustCham community.
Frances is recognised as one of Australia's leading experts on Australia's diplomatic, trade and cultural interests, particularly with the People's Republic of China and the Indo-Pacific region, having served as Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Ambassador to the People's Republic of China and as a diplomat and trade representative in Taipei and Hong Kong.
South Australia prides itself on nurturing a diverse cultural experience: from food and wine through to hosting outstanding world-class art, cultural and sporting events. South Australia is the southern, central state of mainland Australia, bordering all the other mainland states and the Northern Territory. With a total land area of 983,482 square kilometres, it is similar in size to Egypt, the Canadian province of Ontario, or the combined areas of France and Germany, however its population is only 1.8 million people. Its landscape varies from rugged outback wilderness and desert, including some of the most arid parts of the continent, to scenic mountain ranges and a coastline that stretches more than 3,700 kilometres.
