However, Portfolio Careers are not for everyone. They can be hard work. The uncertainty can be stressful and juggling different roles is demanding. However, the capacity to build your own mixture of interesting work is extremely rewarding and can provide you with more flexibility in your daily life.

David has over 40 years experience in Australia, Hong Kong, and China providing services on international business strategy and structuring, international tax structuring, tax compliance, and advisory services on transactions including mergers & acquisitions. His clients include Australian subsidiaries of large Asian corporations, high net worth individuals from Asia, as well as Australian corporations operating in Asia.
David works across a range of industries including food and agriculture, energy and resources, biotechnology, and property investment.
David currently serves as an advisor to several education institutions and NGOs. Prior to these, David has served as the Asia Pacific Chairman of an international accounting network, Council Member of the Australia China Business Council Victorian Branch, as well as National President of Hong Kong Australia Business Association.
David has been a Certified Chair of Advisory Board Centre for over 2 years. His current focus is generational changes for family-owned businesses in the Greater Bay Area in Southern China.

Deborah Biber is an expert marketer who focuses on helping companies to differentiate themselves against their competition. She assists management and C-Level executives to see their way through hurdles and clear blockages in their daily business lives.
Working with some of the world’s leading companies and with over thirty years’ experience in Asia and the Pacific, Deborah works in partnership with her development clients plus those she mentors and coaches.
Deborah is a leader in the field of association management. Roles have included Board Director of the Australian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and Macau (AustCham) following which she took on the role of Chief Executive Officer of the Chamber during the SARS period. During this turbulent time, she grew the Chamber’s membership and prestige. She left a secure and thriving Chamber following the successful pathway out of the Global Financial Crisis. During her time at AustCham she worked with other AustChams in Greater China and across the Asia Region helping to guide them, as well as her members in HK and Macau,
Following AustCham, and as part of her developing portfolio career, Deborah took on the role of Country Manager Hong Kong for Australia’s leading MBA Program - the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM), part of the University of NSW.
Deborah was most recently Chief Executive of the Pacific Basin Economic Council (PBEC). Responsible for PBEC activities and growth across its 21-county footprint in Asia and the Pacific. The organisation, whilst based in HK has hubs in Bangkok, Bogota, Mexico City, Los Angeles and San Francisco, Shanghai, Singapore, Tokyo and Kyoto and Vietnam.
Deborah is Chief Executive of her own consultancy firm Blue Moon Advisory and is committed to building a network of expertise and value to her clients.
She is a Certified Chair of the Advisory Board Centre.
