The HR Shifts in a Post COVID-19 World
AustCham welcomes all AustCham HR executives to join a breakfast roundtable event on HR Shifts in a Post Covid-19 World. Hosted by the AustCham People Forum, the roundtable will feature senior HR executive, Michelle Auer, Regional Head of Zurich Insurance for Asia Pacific sharing her insights and experience.
Our work patterns and planning have been impacted in multiple ways by the COVID-19 pandemic – especially with the onset of remote work as a new norm. At the same time, phenomena such as the Great Resignation and quiet quitting emerged as employees recalibrated their relationship with the workplace and their employers. The rise of mental health stress and increased need for support in the workplace have also seen a change in how employees assess a company’s value and benefits. Talent is increasingly looking for companies that support their career growth combined with the opportunity for flexible and remote work. Incorporating these new trends into traditional company HR and workforce planning will be one of the biggest HR challenges of our time.
In a roundtable format, Michelle will discuss these issues with a Hong Kong lens in a fascinating discussion for HR practitioners, organisation leaders and managers looking to delve deeper into the opportunities and challenges in taking on the ‘new normal’.
