Stefanie Evennett

Chief Executive

Stefanie was appointed as Chief Executive of The Australian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong in July 2021. She began her career in Australia working with State and Federal governments, where she held senior positions in policy development, stakeholder relations and community engagement. In 2011 she joined The American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai as Director of Committees and Industry Relations where she led engagement across Fortune 500 companies. In addition to member engagement, she delivered high impact business programs and co-authored several reports on foreign business in China.  

In 2017 Stefanie become Asia Director at Advance Global Australians in Hong Kong, a leading network connecting and empowering global Australians and alumni worldwide. There she successfully grew the organisation’s membership and forged partnerships across the region in Australia, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Jakarta and Tokyo. She also led engagement with senior Australian government, association and business partners, and established new online and offline engagement platforms.  

Stefanie is passionate about platforms focused on women in business, establishing Mentor Walks in Hong Kong and co-founding TEDxTinHauWomen. She has also worked as a consultant on mentoring and career coaching programs.  

Ms. Evennett is Australian, received a BA Degree in Asian History and Politics from James Cook University, and a Graduate Certificate of Environmental Management from the University of Queensland.
