The American Chamber of Commerce Hong Kong is pleased to invite the Australian business community to its annaul China Conference to be held on 28 April 2026. Themed What’s Next for China Business: Strategy in an Age of Uncertainty, this year's conference will analyze the complex landscape of US-China relations and its global geopolitical implications, with a special focus on technological competition, while also providing practical strategies for finding growth and differentiation in China’s intensely competitive domestic market.

2026 is a pivotal year for the U.S.-China economic relationship, following the Trump-Xi summit in Busan at the 2025 APEC meeting—which led to a one-year truce in the trade war. The anticipated exchange of state visits between the two leaders in 2026 offers a crucial opportunity to reassess the outlook of bilateral ties. The central question remains: Will this relationship moderate, or are we facing a long period of contention and competition? Moreover, in this era of profound uncertainty— defined by technological rivalry and geopolitical shifts—the pressing question for business executives is not simply what is changing, but rather, what comes next? The 2026 AmCham China Conference, themed What’s Next for China Business: Strategy in an Age of Uncertainty, is designed to equip you with the strategic foresight needed to navigate this new era. It will be around the time of President Trump’s state visit to China. The Conference features Distinguished Keynote Speaker: Ambassador Kishore Mahbubani--former Singapore diplomat and Distinguished Fellow at the Asia Research Institute. Other speakers will be industry and geopolitical and technology experts. They will analyze the complex landscape of US-China relations and its global geopolitical ramifications, with a special focus on technological competition. They will also provide practical strategies for finding growth and differentiation in China’s intensely competitive domestic market. Join us on April 28, 2026, for a day of insights and exclusive networking. Don’t miss the opportunity to learn from leading minds and cultivate a network of industry leaders.
