Jason Chang

Deputy Chair

Jason is Co-Founder, CEO and Managing Director of EMR Capital, a global private equity firm with a focus on natural resources, critical minerals and energy transition, with offices in Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore and Cayman Islands. EMR is, and has been, a significant owner and operator of major mines and resources projects in Australia, Indonesia, Spain, United Kingdom, the United States and Zambia.  Prior to EMR, Jason was a Partner in Charge of KPMG Australia’s Asia Practice, responsible for overseeing all Asia-Australia inbound/outbound investments, trade and transactions and government relations.  Jason has extensive experience in many Asian economies including Mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.

Jason was President of the Australia China Business Council (ACBC) in Victoria and a member of the ACBC Board (2008-2015). Jason graduated with a Masters of Law, Bachelor of Laws / Bachelor of Economics from Monash University, Australia and completed his schooling in Malaysia.  Jason is admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria, Australia. He is a Fellow of the Financial Institute of Australia (FINSIA) and a Fellow of the Hong Kong Securities Institute (HKSI).
