1. Do I need to be Australian or have an Australian connection to join?

No. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in Australia, Hong Kong or the broader regional business community. Our members represent a diverse range of nationalities, industries and professional backgrounds. Some members are based in Australia and join offshore because of their business or strategic interest in Hong Kong and the region.

2. Does my business need an Australian presence to become a member?

No. Businesses do not need to have an Australian presence to join. We welcome organisations of all sizes and sectors that wish to engage with our network and participate in our events, committees and initiatives.

3. What are the benefits of joining AustCham?

Membership provides access to targeted business networking, industry committees, advocacy initiatives and thought leadership events. Our membership includes multinational corporations, SMEs, entrepreneurs and professionals across a broad cross-section of industries including finance, legal, hospitality, property, technology and professional services. 5. Is AustCham Hong Kong government funded?

No. AustCham Hong Kong is an independent, non-profit organisation. We are not funded by any government and operate through membership subscriptions, events and partnerships. This ensures we remain member-driven, commercially focused and independent in our advocacy.

6. Is AustCham affiliated with the Australian Government?

AustCham Hong Kong is independent and not part of the Australian Government.

We work constructively with relevant stakeholders in both Hong Kong and Australia, but we operate as a separate and neutral member-funded organisation.

7. Does AustCham engage with government?

Yes. AustCham engages with relevant Hong Kong and Australian stakeholders on issues that matter to our members. We facilitate dialogue, provide industry input and represent member interests, while remaining independent and non-partisan.

10. How long does membership last?

Membership is valid for 12 months from the date of approval and is renewable annually.

11. Can I upgrade or change my membership category?

Yes. Members may upgrade or adjust their membership category at any time. Please contact the AustCham team for assistance.

12. Can non-members attend AustCham events?

Many of our events are open to non-members. Members receive preferential pricing and priority access where applicable.

13. Do I need to be a member to sponsor or advertise with AustCham?

No. Sponsorship and advertising opportunities are open to the wider business community. You do not need to be a member to partner with us or leverage our platform for visibility and engagement.

14. How can I get more involved with AustCham?

Members can participate in industry committees, contribute to advocacy initiatives, provide thought leadership content, sponsor events or engage through our various networks and programs.

15. Does AustCham provide referrals or introductions?
