AustCham Hong Kong Appoints new Chair

 

Following AustCham Hong Kong’s August Board meeting the Chamber’s Board of Directors have elected a new Chair of the Chamber, Jason Chang, with effect from 1 November 2025.

Jason succeeds Josephine Orgill who will step down from the role after two highly successful years. Josephine will remain an active board member and will take on the position of AustCham Vice Chair. 

Ms Orgill, who was elected as Chair in August 2023, said, “It has been my great honour to lead the Chamber during my tenure. We have elevated our interaction with the Hong Kong and Central governments, as well as in Australia, and we can be very proud of the collective contribution we are making to Hong Kong’s recovery. I look forward to supporting Jason and continuing my involvement in the role of Vice Chair.”

Incoming Chair Jason Chang is co-founder, CEO and Managing Director of EMR Capital, a global private equity firm dedicated to the resources and energy transition sector and has previously held leadership positions with the Australia China Business Council in Australia.

Jason added  “It is a rare privilege to lead the Australian Chamber in Hong Kong, being one the largest and influential chambers globally, in the largest regional market in the world, and to have the opportunity to contribute to Australian and global businesses interested in trade and investment in this region and Australia.”
